Welcome to the Hayle Children's Centre Web Site

We provide a wide range of support, activities and fun things to do for families with children primarily aged under 5 living in Penwith. For the latest details check out the ‘What’s On' section of our site.

To give you a flavour of what’s on offer:

We have a drop in crèche on site which is open on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We have a toy library where you and your child (up to the age of 8) can borrow toys, in some cases for pennies! We have a wide range of play activities – art sessions, story circles, dance sessions, messy play.

We provide health advice during pregnancy and after, including weaning, breastfeeding advice and opportunities to make friendship groups within the weekly First Friends group. The local Health Visiting Team and School Nurse are also based at the Children’s Centre making it easy to access all of your family’s health needs in one place.

We have a range of drop in advice sessions to help families claim the benefits which they are entitled to, find out about local jobs and find out about what childcare is available to them locally.

We also provide a wide range of training opportunities, for example, Paediatric First Aid and Computer classes.

We have a fantastic outdoor play area for the under fives and rooms available to hire for birthday parties and children’s activities.

And, there is a café, open to all, selling fantastic homemade food.
